Michael Washkevich cut his teeth in South Jersey, gigging as both a guitarist and drummer before landing in Harrisburg’s music scene with local legends like Nowhere Quick and Brazilian Wax. When he’s not with the Gents, he’s running MDW Productions—one of Central PA’s top-tier recording studios. Armed with a custom synth rig, Mike blurs the line between guitar and keys, delivering everything from classic tones to organ, synth, clav, and ambient textures that expand the band’s sonic landscape.
Jim Bedorf is one of the region’s most recognizable drummers, known for his rock-solid groove and dynamic versatility. He’s recorded and performed with both regional and national acts, including Weapons for Peace, Don’t Sleep, and Big Tubba Mista. Offstage, Jim channels that same precision into real estate scouting—tirelessly hunting for properties with ample storage and just the right outbuildings.
Matt Bowman handles trumpet and keys for The Very Fine Gentlemen, bringing a dynamic voice shaped by decades on the road. He’s toured across the U.S. and Canada with acts like The Tribulations and Little Anthony and the Locomotives, and has shared stages with heavy hitters including Bryan Beller, Joe Travers, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Ziggy Marley. A founding member of Central PA’s swing powerhouse Big Tubba Mista, Matt balances musical firepower with unusual off-stage pursuits—like reading, house chores, and expertly relocating furniture using only his knees.
Mike Evans brings a full arsenal of woodwinds to The Very Fine Gentlemen, with saxophones leading the charge. His soulful, high-energy playing has been featured on recordings with Big Tubba Mista, Nate Myers and the Aces, and Greatest Funeral Ever. When he’s not testing reeds or laying down fiery solos, Mike can be found tending his ever-growing collection of succulents—or perfecting the lost art of juggling.
Jon Rohrer anchors The Very Fine Gentlemen with deep-pocket bass lines and a fearless low-end presence. As Jonny Victor, he fronted the neo-swing favorite Big Tubba Mista, and has brought both bass and guitar firepower to groups like The Release, Bubba, and All the Good People. Whether holding down the groove or stepping into the spotlight, Jon blends power, precision, and style.
